Top 10 Versions of 'Kolaveri Di' Song

The original song ‘Why this Kolaveri Di’ needs no introduction now. South
superstar Dhanush went behind the mike to casually sing this number
which became an instant hit on the internet and a runaway success.

So hooked was Sonu Nigam’s son Neevan Nigam with ‘Kolaveri Di’ that daddy
dear decided to test son’s vocal chords with it. And the kiddo has done
wonders. So cute, innocent, adorable and yet perfect is Neevan in the
rendition of the song that even Dhanush has loved it. Neevan has given a
twist in the lyrics making the ‘soup’ song a ‘milk’ song.

Random groups started imitating the cult song. This is the female version of
‘Kolaveri Di’ with exactly the same lyrics. There might be some accent
problems but the cute looking girl in the video quite makes up for it.

An instrumental version of ‘Kolaveri Di’, watch the performer playing the
instrument Pianica – a combination of piano and saxophone. This one is
mellifluous!

This is a hilarious Gujarati spoof of ‘Kolaveri Di’ titled ‘Why This Chokri
Kharchali’ where a boyfriend is cribbing how he has been over-spending
on his high-maintenance girlfriend.

Kolaveri comes so close to the Marathi word Kolhapuri. So a spin-off seemed
inevitable. This Marathi spoof on ‘Kolaveri Di’ sings praise (literally)
of the Marathi cuisine specialty – Kolhapuri and is aptly titled the
‘Rassa’ (gravy) song.

Exam time can be freaking for students and this spoof on ‘Kolaveri Di’ is
about what goes in the mind while answering an exam paper – copying,
chits, blank mind, stress – it laughs on everything.

From South, ‘Kolaveri Di’ has reached to North with another spoof number. A
morphed picture of Harvinder Singh, who recently slapped Sharad Pawar,
plays in the video singing an anti-corruption number and explaining why
he slapped Sharad Pawar. Tacky but funny, this is the ‘slap’ song!

Not exactly a song number, this is a hilarious spoof video from a
biographical film on Hitler called Downfall where the subtitles explain
that Hitler is upset over the runaway success of Kolaveri Di and is
arguing with his armymen.

Kolaveri
Di magic has gone beyond boundaries and people from across the
world have come up with their versions of the song. This one
claims to be an acapella rendition.
