Anna Hazare on 11 December 2011 sat on a day’s symbolic hunger
strike at Jantar Mantar to protest against the report of Parliamentary
Standing Committee on Lokpal Bill.
Team Anna says the report has diluted the motive of Lokpal Bill. Team Anna severly criticised Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee, for having diluted the motive of the Lokpal Bill in their repor.
Team Anna also criticised Kapil Sibal, Minister for Communications of Government of India for his attempts to curb the movement of Team Anna.
Arvind Kejriwal said that Kabil Sibal's attempts of stifling the mass media was an attempt to curb the movement. Arvind Kejriwal further said that the movement is strong in spite of Kabil Sibal's efforts curb the communications. He said that the strength of movement is evident by the number of people gathered at Jantar Mantar.
Kapil Sibal’s attempts of stifling the mass media was , the movement is strong which is evident from the number of participant at today’s venue, said Arvind Kejriwal, a prominent member of Team Anna.
